Emily Bauer-Jones - Mezzo Soprano

Emily trained at The Royal Academy of Music and The Royal Northern College of Music and enjoys a busy career combining concerts, recitals and opera. Her concert performances include The Crisis Messiah - broadcast on Classic FM, Messiah at The Royal Albert Hall and Fairfield Halls with Sir David Willcocks; works by Bach, Tippett and Handel at The Queen Elizabeth Hall, St John’s Smith Square, St David’s Hall - Cardiff and The Bridgewater Hall – Manchester; and Verdi’s Requiem in many venues around Great Britain. Recently Emily gave performances of Triptic de Mosen Cinto by Rodrigo with the RPO, Handel’s Dixit Dominus with the CBSO in Symphony Hall, Birmingham, Elijah with Willard White and Elgar’s Dream of Gerontius in the Smetana Hall, Prague.

Emily’s operatic roles include Suzuki (Madame Butterfly) Welsh National Opera, Third Lady (Magic Flute) WNO; Dardano (Amadigi) Early Opera Company: Mrs Rochester (Jane Eyre-Michael Berkeley) Music Theatre Wales; Servant (Ion-Param Vir) Opera du Rhin Strasbourg; Katherine (The Piano Tuner - Nigel Osbourne) Music Theatre Wales, and has covered the roles of Zenobia (Radamisto) Opera North; Genevieve (Pelleas et Melisande) Glyndebourne; Ursula (Beatrice and Benedict) WNO and Waltraute (Die Walkure) Scottish Opera.

Future engagements include the Verdi Requiem in Bury St Edmunds and Dulwich College, Elgar’s Sea Pictures in Vienna, recitals of Elgar’s songs throughout Great Britain and recitals with Trio Obbligato.
